Cyganiak is an accomplished researcher and is well known for his work on open source projects such as D2RQ, PUBBY and in initiating the Linked Open Data cloud diagram, which highlights the growth of adoption of linked data. In addition to these projects, he has also played key roles in the W3C standardization of RDF and SPARQL. Prior to joining TopQuadrant, he served as a Research Associate for the Insight Centre for Data Analytics (formerly DERI), where he most recently was involved in building an open data portal for the Irish government.
