RALEIGH, NC – October 7, 2014 – TopQuadrant™, a leading semantic data integration company, today announced the company was named a finalist for the industry driven category of the 2014 North Carolina Tech Awards.

Hosted by the North Carolina Technology Association (NCTA), the NC Tech Awards are North Carolina’s only statewide technology awards program, recognizing outstanding achievement in technology. TopQuadrant’s product, TopBraid Insight, provides companies in the life sciences, healthcare and other industries with a virtual semantic data warehouse to merge internal and external data. Syngenta, a company dedicated to bringing plant potential to life, with TopQuadrant’s assistance conducted a successful data virtualization pilot to increase efficiency and improve overall access to data and information.; that pilot project helped to inform and motivated the development of TopBraid Insight.

“Since 1995, the NC Tech Awards (formerly the NCTA 21 Awards) have honored companies for outstanding achievement in the tech sector and use of technology. As a finalist in this year’s awards, TopQuadrant has distinguished itself as one of the state’s technology leaders,” stated Brooks Raiford, NCTA’s President and CEO.

A review committee comprised of non-profit, media, education, and technology leaders representing various regions of the state selected this year’s finalists. The awards process culminates with the NC Tech Awards Gala on November 6, 2014 at the Raleigh Convention Center.

“TopQuadrant has been proud to call North Carolina its new home for more than a year and we are honored to be recognized by the premier statewide technology awards as a finalist for the industry driven award,” said Irene Polikoff, CEO.
