Modify > Replace

This feature is available from the Modify Menu or all editable assets that have an identifier (URI). It can be used to replace the URI of the asset, essentially renaming the identifier. A dialog open where you can modify the URI.

Caution

Changing the identifier/URI of an asset should be taken with care, in case the asset is also referenced in other asset collections. In particular, be careful when you replace URIs of classes or properties.

Hint

The safest way to replace a URI that may be used across other asset collections is to identify an asset collection that includes all other collections that may mention the URI. Then create a workflow where you also edit these included collections. In that workflow, perform the replace operation. The replace would then be applied to each asset collection on commit of the workflow.
