Manage > Root Shape of Asset Hierarchy Panels
---------------------------------------------

This option on the :ref:`ManageTab` can be used to pre-select a node shape or class
that shall be used as root shape of the :ref:`AssetsHierarchyPanel`.
If none is specified, each time a new :ref:`AssetsHierarchyPanel` is opened, the users
need to first select a root shape.

.. note::
   The root shape determines which assets will be displayed as roots of the assets hierarchy,
   and also which relationship properties shall be shown for each of them.
